Chartered Institute of Brewers & Distillers announce new CEO
The Chartered Institute of Brewers and Distillers (CIBD) Board of Trustees has announced the appointment of Matt Anderson as the new CIBD CEO.
Anderson joins from Sunrise Beverages where he has held a number of senior leadership roles, most recently as Brand Director. Having originally joined Curious Brewery (part of Sunrise Beverages) as Head of Production in 2018, he has played a significant role in the development of the business through a period of substantial growth and change.
Earlier in his career, Matt spent over a decade with AB-InBev in Quality, Brewing and Packaging management roles, including at Magor and Salmesbury.
The appointment comes as the CIBD gears up for the next phase in its journey as a chartered institute with work being done to revitalise the exam qualifications to meet the needs of the industry, and to strengthen its global presence through conferences and section events in Australia, Africa, US and around the UK.

Anderson said: “I am incredibly excited to be joining CIBD as it enters its next chapter.
