Delivered by Cricket Wales in partnership with the Lindop & Premier Toyota partner group, the festival welcomed around 40 participants from four teams to Gwersyllt Cricket Club, an ECB Disability Champion Club. The event highlighted the positive impact disability cricket can have on physical and mental wellbeing, while showcasing the inclusive opportunities available within the game.
Hosted by Gwersyllt Park CC Super 1s, the festival featured teams from Conwy/MACS Disability Cricket in North Wales alongside two Cheshire Disability squads. Players enjoyed a full day of friendly competition, skill development and the chance to connect with others through cricket.
Adding to the occasion, England Women spinner Sophie Ecclestone and ECB Head of Disability Cricket Ian Martin MBE spent time with players throughout the day. From sharing coaching tips to joining in with activities, both helped create a memorable experience for everyone involved while highlighting the range of opportunities available within disability cricket.
